Meet Coach Dana
Hello and Welcome!
Hi! I am Coach Dana, and I am a Road Runners Club of America, USATF Level I and VDOT O2 Certified Coach. I also provide LIVE coaching and running classes at Charge Running. I have been a runner for 30+ years and truly have a passion for running and helping others reach their goals. I am a minivan driving momma with three little ones who understands the struggle for finding balance and joy in life and running.
5 Marathons, 17 Half Marathons, 100+ 10K, 5K and other races. Ran competitively starting in junior high through college and beyond. Ran before kids, while pregnant, between kids, and while juggling three little ones.
Why Do I Run:
It is a part of me. I run to get better, stay competitive, find peace and be an example for my kids.

Honest and encouraging. I have had good, great, decent and awful races. I have been there and can help you through all the highs and lows of running.

Each month your Monthly Coaching membership will automatically renew for $150.00 and be charged to a valid credit/debit card or PayPal account on file, which may be updated by the card issuer, or an existing PayPal account. There is new customer one time sign up fee of $4.94, which includes account set up and training plan design.
At True Potential Running, we strive to help you achieve your running goals while helping others. We will donate 5% of your Coaching and Training Plan expenses to Girls On The Run, an organization that utilizes running to empower girls to find the confidence to pursue their boldest dreams.

"I started running about two years ago and I've been through a few 5K/10K races. Right now, I'm preparing for my first half marathon in October. Coach Dana has over 20 years running experience and she definitely has a passion for this sport. She asked me to have a test run first so she can figure out my pace. Then she set up a week by week training plan for me based on all the data she gathered. I'm always running on my own, so I don't know much about a training plan and all the terminologies (tempo run, interval run, fartlek, etc.).

"Coach Dana has taught me so very much. Running and challenging myself is something that I never dreamed would take the adventure that it has.
I am 65 years old and to date I am training for my 21st half marathon in September 2017 and my 11th full marathon in October 2017. Dana challenged me to run a 10K in 2009, then proposed that I run my first half marathon in January 2010. Today I am training so much differently – Dana has explained the “whys” and “because,” which has made me a better runner. I have learned so many things that you will not be able to read in a book or learn from the internet.
This year I have already completed # 18, 19 and 20 half marathons, each a PR from the previous runs on those courses. My last half I PRed by 14 minutes! I've been a runner since middle school and have continued until now, age 38. Recently, however, I had lost my passion for running partially because I didn't feel great on my runs and I was getting bored with the workouts.
